DH 2011/03 殮房服務員 Mortuary Attendant

殮房服務員
在職公務員現可申請轉任衞生署的殮房服務員。
薪級表
2. 殮房服務員的薪級表為總薪級表第8點( 每月14,065元)至總薪級表
第10點註1( 每月15,875元) 。獲取錄人員的薪酬及增薪日期將按照《公務
員事務規例》第130及第133條的規定訂定, 並會載列於聘書上。
入職條件
3. 申請人必須-
(a) 能提起及搬運包括屍體之重物;
(b) 能操流利廣東話, 閱讀及書寫簡單中文;
(c) 能操簡單英語, 閱讀及書寫簡單英文;
(d) 有能力勝任殮房工作;
(e) 通過上述(a)項的行業測試及上述(d)項的技能測試; 及
(f) 最好具備兩年在醫院/ 政府診所( 包括各醫護機構) 工作的經
驗。

永久性居民身分
4. 申請人於獲聘時必須是香港特別行政區永久性居民。在1997年7月
1日之前初次按公務員聘用條款受聘而其服務並無中斷的在職公務員,則屬
例外。
職責
5. 殮房服務員的主要職責包括-
(a) 接收交往殮房的屍體;
(b) 搬運及貯存殮房內的屍體,並安排死者家屬辨認、申領及移離屍體;
(c) 協助法醫科醫生解剖屍體時的有關工作;
(d) 負責剖驗屍體前的預備工作及事後清潔; 及
(e) 負責殮房的一切清潔工作。
( 備註:( 1) 須穿著制服, 在正常辦公時間以外工作及通宵輪班工作、
於颱風、騒動及其他緊急事故期間侯命及執行職務。
( 2) 按需要派駐到部門內各殮房執勤。)
聘用條款
6. 申請人如獲錄用, 將按個別情況以試任條款或試用條款受聘。
( 備註: 入職薪酬、聘用條款及服務條件應以發出聘書時的規定為準。)
基本法知識評核
7. 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風
氣, 所有公務員職位的招聘, 均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。獲邀參加
遴選面試的申請人, 其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭提問形式被評
核。除非兩位申請人的整體表現相若, 招聘當局才會參考申請人在基本法
知識測試中的表現。

申請手續
8. 殮房服務員職位的申請日期為2011 年3 月4 日( 星期五) 至
2011 年3 月14 日(星期一)。申請人須於政府職位申請書[GF 340( 1/2011
修訂版) ]內詳列與入職所需的有關的工作經驗。已填妥的政府職位申請
書,須於2011 年3 月14 日或之前送交香港灣仔皇后大道東213 號胡忠大
廈18 樓1807 室衞生署聘任組, 並請在信封上註明「申請殮房服務員職
位」。申請人亦可透過公務員事務局的網站( http://www.csb.gov.hk) 作
網上申請。
9. 申請人如獲邀參加面試註2, 通常會在截止申請日期後約6 至8 個
星期內接獲通知。如申請人未獲邀參加面試,則可視作已經落選。如有查
詢, 請致電2961 8775 與衞生署聘任組聯絡。

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
VACANCY CIRCULAR NO DH 2011/03
Mortuary Attendant
To: Permanent Secretaries
Heads of Department

(Note: Permanent Secretaries/ Heads of Department are requested to
ensure that copies of this circular are circulated to all eligible
officers and displayed on staff notice boards in all offices of
their bureaux/ departments until after the closing date for
applications.)
Applications are invited from serving civil servants for appointment as Mortuary
Attendant in the Department of Health.
Pay Scale
2. The pay scale of Mortuary Attendant is from Master Pay Scale Point 8 ($14,065
per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 10 Note 1 ($15,875 per month). The pay and
incremental date for a successful applicant will be determined in accordance with the
provisions of Civil Service Regulations 130 and 133 and set out in the letter of appointment.
Entry Requirements
3. Applicants should -
(a) be able to lift and move heavy objects, including dead bodies;
(b) be able to speak fluent Cantonese, read and write simple Chinese;
(c) be able to speak, read and write simple English;
(d) have the aptitude to work in mortuary;
(e) be able to pass a trade test [on item (a) above] and an aptitude test [on item (d)
above]; and
(f) preferably have two years’ working experience in hospitals/ government
clinics including various health institutions.

Permanent Residency Requirement
4. Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region at the time of appointment unless they were first appointed on civil service terms of
appointment before 1 July 1997 and have continued in service without a break.
Duties
5. A MortuaryAttendant is mainly deployed on -
(a) receiving bodies delivered to the mortuary;
(b) moving and storing dead bodies inside the mortuary, arranging for the
relatives of the deceased to identify, claim and remove dead bodies;
(c) assisting Pathologist in performing post-mortem examinations;
(d) preparing for and cleaning up after autopsies; and
(e) attending to the general cleanliness of the mortuary.
(Remarks: (1) Required to wear uniform, work in irregular hours and
overnight shift, stand by and attend duties during typhoons,
civil disturbance and other emergencies.
(2) Subject to deployment to various mortuaries within the
Department as and when required.)
Terms of Appointment
6. Successful applicants will be offered appointment either on trial or on
probationary terms as appropriate.
(Remark: The entry pay, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are
subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.)
Basic Law Knowledge Assessment
7. For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and
promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be
included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Applicants who are invited to attend
the recruitment interview will be tested orally on their BL knowledge during recruitment
interview. The results of BL assessment will be taken into account only if two applicants
are considered equal in all other aspects.

8. The application period for the post of Mortuary Attendant is from
4 March 2011 (Friday) to 14 March 2011 (Monday). Applicants should state in detail in
the application forms [GF 340 (Rev 1/2011)] their relevant working experience. Completed
application forms should be forwarded to the Appointments Unit, Department of Health,
Room 1807, 18/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong not
later than 14 March 2011 with the envelopes clearly marked “Application for the post of
Mortuary Attendant”. On-line application can also be made through the Civil Service
Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
9. Applicants who are selected for interviewNote 2 will normally receive an invitation
in about six to eight weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited
for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. For enquiries, please
