二級工人

在職公務員現可申請轉任政府物流服務署二級工人。
薪級表
2. 二級工人的薪級表為第一標準薪級表第0 點(每月9,035 元)
至第一標準薪級表第8 點註一(每月10,655 元)。獲取錄人員的薪酬及增
薪日期將依照《公務員事務規例》第130 及133 條的規定訂定, 並會
載列於聘書上。
入職條件
3. 在職公務員, 無論男女, 均可應徵。申請人必須-
(a) 完成小六教育程度, 或具同等學歷; 以及
(b) 中、英文語文能力水平達小六程度。
(註: 申請人須通過技能測試。)
永久性居民身分
4. 獲取錄的人員必須是香港特別行政區永久性居民。在一九九
七年七月一日之前初次按公務員聘用條款受聘而其服務並無中斷的
在職公務員則屬例外。
註一 頂薪點的資料只供參考, 該項資料日後或會作出更改。

職責
5. 二級工人的主要職責為–
(a) 一般體力勞動工作, 包括清潔、搬移家具和器材, 裝卸
及∕ 或包裝印刷品、大型物品和物料項目;
(b) 信差工作, 包括在戶內∕ 外收集和派遞文件、物料及文
具項目;
(c) 簡單的辦公室工作,包括操作影印機、傳真機、釘裝機,
以及把文件分類及∕ 或釘裝; 以及
(d) 一般行政支援工作, 包括開啟和鎖上各出口、看守接待
處、提供茶水服務, 以及協助布置會議場地。
二級工人須接受部門內部的職位調派安排, 並須在有需要時輪班工
作及∕ 或逾時工作。
聘用條款
6. 申請人如獲錄用, 將按個別情況以按月聘用條款、試任條
款或試用條款受聘。入職薪酬、聘用條款及服務條件應以發出聘
書時的規定為準。如有需要, 獲取錄的人員﹙ 繼續以按月聘用條
款受聘的在職第一標準薪級乙類人員除外﹚ 須接受部門間調職安
排, 以填補其他決策局∕ 部門內同一職系的職位空缺和擔任同一
職系下不同種類的職務。
《基本法》知識評核
7. 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》
的風氣,所有公務員職位的招聘,均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。
獲邀參加遴選面試的申請人, 本署會在面試中以口頭提問形式評核
其對基本法的認識。除非兩位申請人的整體表現相若, 本署才會參
考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。

申請手續
8. 申請人須以政府職位申請書[G.F.340 ( 3/2008 修 訂版)] 提出申
請。已填妥的申請書須在二零一一年一月七日或之前送達香港北角
渣華道333 號北角政府合署10 樓政府物流服務署編制及委任小組,
信封面須清楚註明「申請二級工人職位」。申請人須於申請書內詳
列與入職條件有關的學歷, 並夾附有關學歷的證明文件副本及修業
成績表副本。所有申請書,如資料不全、或以傳真或電郵方式遞交、
或並非使用指定的申請表格、或並未妥為簽署, 均不予考慮。申請
人須提供一切所需資料以顯示符合職位的入職條件。
9. 本署會在面試時進行相關的技能測試。申請人如獲邀參加面
試, 通常會在截止申請日期後約十至十二個星期內收到通知。如遇
到申請人數眾多或其他特殊情況, 可能需時稍長。如申請人未獲邀
參加面試, 則可視作已經落選。註二

註二 如果符合訂明入職條件的應徵者人數眾多,招聘部門可以訂立篩選準則,甄選
條件較佳的應徵者, 以便進一步處理。在此情況下, 只有獲篩選的應徵者會獲
邀參加面試及技能測試。

GOVERNMENT LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT
VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. GLD 2010/12
Workman II

Applications are invited from serving civil servants for appointment as
Workman II in the Government Logistics Department.
Pay Scale
2. The pay scale of Workman II is from Model Scale 1 Pay Scale Point 0
($9,035 per month) to Model Scale 1 Pay Scale Point 8 Note 1 ($10,655 per month).
The pay and incremental date for a successful candidate will be determined in
accordance with the provisions of Civil Service Regulations 130 and 133 and as
set out in the letter of appointment.
Entry Requirements
3. The post is open to both male and female serving civil servants.
Candidates should have –
(a) completed Primary 6 education, or equivalent; and
(b) attained a level of proficiency in Chinese and English Languages
equivalent to Primary 6 standard.
(Note : Candidates will be required to pass a trade test.)
Note 1 The information on the maximum pay point is for reference only and it may be subject to change.

Permanent Residency Requirement
4. Selected appointees must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region unless they were first appointed on civil service
terms of appointment before 1 July 1997 and have continued in service without a
break.
Duties
5. A Workman II is mainly deployed on –
(a) general manual labour work including cleansing, moving
furniture and equipment, loading, unloading and / or packing
printed matters, bulky stores and supplies items;
(b) messengerial duties including indoor / outdoor collection and
delivery of documents, stores and stationery items;
(c) simple office work including operating photocopying machines,
fax machines, binding machines, and sorting and / or binding
documents; and
(d) general administration support duties including opening and
locking of exits, manning reception counters, provision of pantry
services and assisting in the setting up of meeting venues.
Workmen II are subject to posting and transfer within the department. They are
also required to work shifts and / or overtime as necessary.
Terms of Appointment
6. Successful candidates will be offered appointment either on
month-to-month, trial or probationary terms as appropriate. The entry pay, terms
of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions
prevailing at the time the appointment is offered. Successful candidates, except
for those serving Category B Model Scale 1 staff who will continue to be
appointed on month-to-month terms, are subject to posting to fill vacancies and
carry out different duties in the same grade in other bureaux / departments when
the need arises.

Basic Law Knowledge Assessment
7. For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law and
promoting a culture of learning of Basic Law in the community, an assessment of
Basic Law knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs.
Candidates who are invited to attend an interview will be tested orally on their
Basic Law knowledge during the interview. The results of Basic Law assessment
will be taken into account only if two candidates are considered equal in all other
aspects.
Application
8. Applications on G.F. 340 (Rev.3/2008) should reach the Establishment
and Appointment Unit of Government Logistics Department, 10/F, North Point
Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong not later than 7
January 2011, with the envelopes clearly marked “Application for the post of
Workman II”. Applicants should state in detail in the application forms their
academic qualifications relevant to the entry requirements, and attach photocopies
of certificates and transcripts in support of the academic qualifications.
Applications which are incomplete, or submitted by fax or email, or not made in
the prescribed form, or not duly signed will not be considered. Candidates should
provide all necessary information to show that they meet the entry requirements
for the post.
9. A relevant trade test will be conducted at the time of interview.
Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in
about ten to twelve weeks from the closing date for application. This period may
be longer in exceptional circumstances, e.g. when a large number of applications
are received or when there are other complications. Those who do not receive an
invitation may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.Note 2
Note 2 Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department
may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In
these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the interview and trade test.
It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a
disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the interview and
trade test without being subject to further shortlisting.
