二級工人
在職公務員現可申請轉任社會福利署二級工人。
薪級表
2 . 二級工人的薪級為第一標準薪級表第0 點( 每月港幣9,035
元) 至第一標準薪級表第8 點註1( 每月港幣10,655 元) 。獲取錄轉
任這職位的人員的薪酬及增薪日期將依照《公務員事務規例》第130
及133 條的規定訂定, 並會載列於聘書上。
入職條件
3 . 在職公務員, 無論男女, 均可申請此職位。申請人必須具備以
下資歷:
( a ) 能閱讀簡單的中文及英文; 以及
( b ) 能書寫簡單的中文或英文; 以及
( c ) 能操流利廣東話。
永久性居民身分
4 . 申請人必須是香港特別行政區永久性居民。在一九九七年七月
一日之前初次按公務員聘用條款受聘而其服務並無中斷的在職公務員
則屬例外。
註1 頂薪點的資料只供參考, 日後或會有所更改。

職責
5 . 二級工人主要負責:
(a) 執行一般雜務工作, 包括清潔, 搬運家具、設備
和物料, 以及協助佈置舉行會議或戶外/ 室內活
動的場地;
(b) 執行簡單的辦公室工作, 包括影印文件, 處理傳
真文件, 在櫃枱接待訪客/ 服務使用者, 接聽電
話及解答簡單的查詢, 開啓和鎖上出入口, 巡邏
辦事處以執行保安工作及巡察樓宇保養項目;
(c) 執行信差職務, 例如在辦事處中或以外收集文件
及運送/ 派送文件、物料和器材;
(d) 提供茶房服務, 包括清潔工作; 以及
(e) 照顧肢體傷殘/ 弱智的院友; 陪伴人士及青少年
到其他機構、法院、醫院等地方。
二級工人可能須輪班工作及執行緊急救濟工作。
聘用條款
6. 申請人如獲取錄, 將按個別情況以按月聘用條款、試任條款或
試用條款受聘。入職薪酬、聘用條款及服務條件應以獲聘時的規定為
準。如有需要, 獲取錄人員(在職乙類人員除外)須接受部門間調職安
排, 以填補政府轄下其他決策局/ 部門內同一職系的職位空缺和執行
同一職系下不同種類的職務。
《基本法》知識測試
7 . 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》
的風氣, 所有公務員職位的招聘, 均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。
獲邀請參加遴選面試的申請人, 其對基本法的認識會在面試中以口頭
提問形式被評核。除非兩位申請人的整體表現相若, 招聘當局才會參
考申請人在基本法知識測試中的表現。

申請手績
8 . 申請人必須以通用表格第340號( 1/2011修訂本) 提出申請。申請
書於填妥後, 須於二零一一年三月七日或之前, 送達香港灣仔皇后大道東
213號胡忠大廈7樓754室社會福利署聘用組。未填妥或逾期遞交的申請概
不受理。
9 . 申請人如獲邀參加面試, 通常會在截止申請日期後約六至八個
星期內接獲通知。如申請人未獲邀參加面試, 則可視作已經落選註2。

Workman II

(Note: Permanent Secretaries/Heads of Department are requested to ensure that
copies of this circular are circulated to all eligible officers and displayed on
staff notice boards in all offices of their bureaux/departments until after the
closing date for applications)
Applications are now invited from serving civil servants for appointment as
Workman II in the Social Welfare Department.
Pay Scale
2. The pay scale of Workman II is from Model Scale I Pay Scale Point 0 ($9,035)
to Model Scale I Pay Scale Point 8 Note 1 ($10,655) per month. The pay and incremental
date for a successful candidate will be determined in accordance with the provisions of
Civil Service Regulations 130 and 133 and as set out in the letter of appointment.
Entry Requirements
3. The post is open to both male and female serving civil servants. Candidates
should –
(a)

be able to read simple Chinese and simple English; and
be able to write simple Chinese or simple English; and
be able to speak fluent Cantonese.
Permanent Residency Requirement
4. Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region unless they were first appointed on civil service terms of
appointment before 1 July 1997 and continued in service without a break.

Duties
5. A Workman II is mainly deployed on –
(a) performing general labouring duties including cleansing, moving
furniture, equipment, stores, etc and assisting in the setting-up of venues
for meetings, outdoor / indoor programmes and activities;
(b) performing simple office work, including photocopying work, handling
fax messages, reception duties at the counters, answering telephone calls
and simple enquiries, opening and locking exits; office patrolling for
security and building maintenance;
(c) performing messengerial duties such as indoor and outdoor collection,
delivery of documents, stores and stationery items;
(d) providing pantry services, including cleansing work; and
(e) taking care of the inmates who are physically / mentally handicapped;
escorting clients and young children to institutions, courts, hospitals, etc.
A Workman II may be required to work shifts and perform emergency relief duties.
Terms of Appointment
6. Successful candidates will be offered appointment either on month-to-month,
trial or probationary terms as appropriate. The entry pay, terms of appointment and
conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the
offer of appointment is made. They, except for those who are serving Category B staff,
are subject to posting to fill vacancies and carry out different duties in the same grade in
other government bureaux / departments when the need arises.
Basic Law Assessment
7. For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and
promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge
will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Candidates who are invited
to attend the recruitment interview will be tested orally on their BL knowledge during
recruitment interview. The results of BL assessment will be taken into account only if
two candidates are considered equal in all other aspects.

Social Welfare Department, Room 754, 7/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East,
Wanchai, Hong Kong not later than 7 March 2011. Applications which are incomplete,
late will not be considered.

9. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation
in about six to eight weeks from the closing date for applications. Those who are not
invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful Note 2. For

Note 2 Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting
department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further
processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend
recruitment examination and/or interview.
